Alekos Vretos Mediterranean trio



After the obligatory absence, due to a pandemic, Alekos Vretos starts again exploring music with his oud as his vehicle and his love for the unknown. Mediterranean sounds mixed with jazz mood and mentality, push the oud, kanun and piano in "streets" of East and West. Dimitris Sevdalis (piano) and Athena Kouki (Kanun) complete the new trio of Aleko Vretos, which will be presented for the first time in Faust and will essentially mark the beginning of a new musical season for Alekos Vretos. New and old compositions by Vretos but also pieces from the Arabic, Armenian and Turkish repertoire played through the prism of jazz, compose this new effort. An evening that will bring us memories but also new experiences. An evening that will quench the longing for good live music that we have been so deprived of lately.
